Already hold a General Aviation licence, such as an RPL, PPL or CPL, or have previous powered aircraft flying experience? You may be able to convert your experience across to recreational aviation.
RAAus recognises certain previous flight experience towards obtaining a Recreational Pilot Certificate (RPC), subject to the applicable requirements.
A Conversion Course Tailored to You!
Your conversion training is competency-based and designed around your existing skills and experience. Rather than starting from scratch, we focus on what you need to confidently and safely transition to recreational aviation.
Training may include:
Adapting your flying skills to a different aircraft type
Aircraft handling, including differences in momentum and performance
Weight and balance considerations
RAAus operating procedures and requirements
Refreshing relevant regulations and responsibilities
Any additional training required to meet competency standards
Whether you're returning to flying or looking to broaden your flying options, we'll work with you to make the transition practical, relevant and tailored to your experience.
