Cross Country Endosement

Ready to venture beyond your local area?

A Cross Country Endorsement gives you the skills and confidence to fly further afield and explore more of Australia from the air.

Your training includes a minimum of 10 hours dual flight instruction and 2 hours solo, prior to a flight test, along with additional theory training and theory exam. Once endorsed, you can fly beyond 25 nautical miles from your departure aerodrome, within the appropriate airspace (Class G) and conditions.

Reading and interpreting aviation charts

Using the Wizz Wheel (E6B) for navigation calculations

Calculating and adjusting groundspeed and flight times

Flight planning and procedures

Diversion techniques and in-flight decision making
