Recreational Pilot Certificate (RPC): On completion of your training you will achieve a RPC. This allows you to fly a recreational aircraft within 25nm of the aerodrome of departure.
The minimum time of flight training to achieve the RPC is 20 hours, 15 dual and 5 solo. However, this is competency based and the minimum.
Dual Instruction: Your initial training will be with a flight instructor. The instructor will demonstrate, then walk you through the maneuver. Ground theory is demonstrated through flight exercises. Once solo has been achieved further procedures and skills per the syllabus are explored.
Solo Flight Training: After demonstrating proficiency, you’ll start flying solo, meaning you’ll be the only person in the aircraft. This is a crucial step in building your skills and confidence.
The youngest age you can solo is 15!
