A Trial Instructional Flight (TIF) is your chance to experience what it’s like to fly an aircraft and discover whether aviation is right for you.

Your TIF is a relaxed, hands-on introduction to flying. You’ll have the opportunity to take the controls, learn about the aircraft and chat with your instructor about flight training and obtaining your Recreational Pilot Certificate.

Your TIF includes:

Pre-flight briefing: Meet your instructor, inspect the aircraft and discuss what to expect from your flight.

Hands-on flying: Take to the skies with a qualified instructor and experience the controls for yourself.

Learn the basics: Get an introduction to the aircraft’s controls, instruments and how they work in flight.

Ask questions: Learn what’s involved in flight training and what your pathway to becoming a pilot could look like.
